Privacy Policy
Max Wealth ("we", "us") is a personal finance application that helps you track expenses and income, plan budgets, manage loans, calculate Bangladesh income tax and receive investment guidance. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash), or your basic profile information if you sign in with Google or LinkedIn. Optionally, your mobile number if you submit a subscription payment.
- Financial records you create — expenses, incomes, budgets, loan and EMI details, tax inputs and investment preferences that you enter into the app. This data exists solely so the app can perform its function for you.
- Transaction messages you choose to share — if you use the optional transaction-capture features (for example, sharing a bank SMS with the app or forwarding a bank email), the text of that message is processed to extract the transaction details (amount, date, merchant) and is stored for your review. We never read your messages in bulk; only content you explicitly share or forward reaches us.
- Subscription verification details — if you upgrade to Pro, the transaction ID and payment method you submit for manual verification.
- Technical basics — standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) kept for security and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the app's features: ledgers, budgets, reminders, tax calculation and investment guidance.
- To authenticate you securely and keep your session working.
- To verify subscription payments and manage your plan.
- To send you the notifications you have enabled (for example, recurring-entry reminders or a weekly summary email). Every notification type can be switched off in Account settings.
- To protect the service against abuse and diagnose failures.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal or financial data — to anyone, ever.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not use your financial data for marketing profiles.
- We do not read SMS or email content you have not explicitly shared with the app.
4. Sharing
Your data is shared only with the infrastructure providers required to run the service (cloud hosting and content-delivery providers), acting on our instructions. If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, those providers authenticate you under their own privacy policies; we receive only your basic profile information. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Security
- All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored as salted hashes; refresh tokens are stored hashed and rotate on every use.
- On Android, locally cached credentials are stored in encrypted storage (EncryptedSharedPreferences, AES-256).
- Financial records are never hard-deleted by accident — destructive actions require explicit confirmation.
6. Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected] from your registered email address. Deletion requests are honoured within 30 days.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct or export your financial records at any time inside the app (CSV/Excel export is built in). You may withdraw consent for optional features — such as notifications or transaction capture — at any time in settings, without losing access to the rest of the app.
8. Children
Max Wealth is a financial tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and adjust the effective date above. Significant changes will also be announced inside the app.
